Hello from the U.K!
I’m not sure what to say, so I’ll keep it short and work on this over time.
The picture of the luxurious Cat to the left is Katsu. She is our furry overlord.
Neither of us at Delicious Effort are professional chefs or cooks, our work lives usually involving more keyboards, mice, screens and caffeine. Food is just a huge part of family life and something that’s easy to have a lot of passion about.
I handle more of the food creation, while my beautiful assistant deals with more of the editing and detailing of the site, though we usually meet in the middle on everything in between. Katsu is here to take the glory for it all, and snub most of the food we make.
Our recipes are built from a U.K. point of view. We will try our best to make these usable to people in other parts of the globe. I can’t promise it’ll work each time. Eventually I’ll open comments so you can ask questions.
While my Mum can make the most delightful cake, the trained chef in my family was my Dad. He rarely liked to cook for any less than 10 people and also was a technology enthusiast. I tried to learn as much as I could from him before he passed away at the end of last year.
This website is my homage to the ways in which we were similar, and to the fallen amongst our families. Each one of them will have a recipe dedicated to something they enjoyed, or taught me.
I’m doing my best to play the food creator for those I love and care about now. I hope you enjoy this as much as I enjoy trying. It’s quite alright if you don’t though, I only ask that you are respectful.
